“Freeze-Thaw” is the debut single from Dovedale, the band project fronted by singer/songwriter Gary Burton.

Born in Derby, England, Gary has lived in New York City for over ten years and has released several works under different guises. “I realized that I had a collection of songs that needed a new feel, a new sense of direction, something that truly reflected my influences and musical passions,” he says.

This brought him to producer Ray Ketchem and his Montclair, NJ-based studio, Magic Door. Ray expertly assembled a group of extremely talented musicians to bring the songs to life.

Says Gary, “I’m so thrilled to have worked with such amazing players - it also helps that we all happen to friends. It’s such a pleasure to make music with people who bring not just pure talent - but more than a little love to the studio!”

This single (and forthcoming EP) features guitars by Sean Eden (Luna) and Richard Alwyn Fisher (Winterdrinks) keyboards by Carl Baggaley (Gramercy Arms) and bass by Lysa Opfer (Big Lake). As well as producing and mixing Dovedale, Ray Ketchem (Elk City) plays drums and percussion.
